Our Story

Our story began in the small Himalayan village of Ghoom near Darjeeling.

Rather fortuitously, two of Rohaa’s co-founders conducted workshops and drives in cleanliness, recycling and waste management, and sexual harassment and gender abuse. Working with schools, people from all genders, even the police and municipality, the project was a resounding success.

At the heart of all things gender equity and sustainability is a continuous unlearning and reshaping of perspectives and preconceptions.
